University Of Bristol Open Day - 14th June 2024

  • BS8 1QU
June 14, 2024, 10:00 am

About this open day

Every student at the University of Bristol is a member of the Students’ Union. Led by students, for students, Bristol SU contributes towards our world-class university experience.

Welcome week
Bristol SU coordinates an impressive range of activities to welcome you to the University. There are events each day in the Students’ Union, ranging from pub quizzes and live music to karaoke and TED Talks.

The Welcome Fair is a highlight of welcome week, where you can meet society and sports club members and find out what’s available.

The SU will release their official events programme and all event tickets on A-Level Results Day. Any Freshers / Welcome tickets you see on sale before then will be for unofficial events, not affiliated with the University or SU.

You can find more information about Bristol SU’s welcome week on their website.

Seven full-time officers and a network of student representatives, elected by you, work hard to represent your views and needs to the union, the University and the National Union of Students (NUS).

There are lots of ways to make your voice heard, such as voting in elections, contributing to consultations or taking up a role as an elected representative.

The Richmond Building
The Richmond Building is home to the Students’ Union and is a lively hub where you can work or relax between lectures.

The building houses two theatres, a café-bar, photography darkroom, pottery and dance studios, rehearsal rooms and a swimming pool. It is one of the largest student union buildings in the country.

The Richmond Building is also home to one of the city’s largest gig venues, the Anson Rooms, which has hosted big names including David Bowie, Radiohead, Ed Sheeran and London Grammar.
